Visit New Haven this August for the first ever Food & Wine Festival. Featuring Wolf Blass wines, 19 of New Haven's finest restaurants serving up a taste of the city's interational and eclectic cuisine. In addition visitors will have an opportunity to meet world-renowned chef, author and teach Jacque Pepin.
The Food and Wine Festival will be held Wednesday, August 20 at Pilot Pen Tennis presented by Schick, an Olympus US Open Series event on the ATP and Sony Ericsson WTA Tour to be held August 15-23, 2008 at the Connecticut Tennis Center at Yale
The Main Tournament begins Sunday Aug 17 and the finals are held Saturday Aud 23rd. The tournament takes place at the Connecticut Tennis Center at Yale, 45 Yale Avenue, New Haven, CT.
The Olympus US Open Series, launched in 2004, is the cohesive, six-week summer tennis season of 9 North American tournaments linked to the US Open. The Series has produced record attendance, TV viewership and live broadcast hours for the sport. In total, the Olympus US Open Series events - including the US Open - generated a record 1.6 million attendees, 128 million TV viewers and over 28 million website visits making it the stongest summertime property in sports. Roger Federer and Maria Sharapova are the defending Olympus US Open Series champions.
