Handsome Dan- make room, New Haven has a new K-9 friend and and he certainly isn’t keeping his entrance quiet. While Finn does mind his manners, and the modest pup would never stand up to Yale’s infamous bulldog, he can’t help but to share an achievement of his own. In fact, you can go ahead and call him Mr. April....
Yes my friends, you heard it right- Say hello to our very own Finn, crowned PugSpot.com’s April “Pug of the Month.”

Before I go on, I know what you’re thinking: white fluffy dogs the size of your thumb with ribbons and bows and their own Swaroski-studded water bowls filled with cool Evian and a mint garnish. You may recall back to the myriad of articles where MSN uncovers that we nutty pet lovers are now spending over $36 billion dollars on our furry friends, contributing to Petco’s 49 consecutive quarters of 4.6% or greater comparable-revenue growth.

Well, I’ve read the articles, and I’ve seen the frilly dresses, but I’m also a proud Mama to little man who deserves the worthy title. You see, Finn is my hero (really!). On a frigid morning this past January, little Finn proved his bravery as he pulled his sleepy-eyed, nightgown-clad owner down the stairs and outside their (unbeknownst to her) burning home. A few short hours later, only an icy, charred, and crumbling structure remained.

So what’s Mr. April up to today? Finn is enjoying his celebrity-status title while he takes a break from his role at TheNewHavenLife.com and spends his days frolicking in Connecticut with his two best labrador friends. Finn, my hero, here’s to you!
